When we think of God we think of an all powerful and knowing being. When we consider trying to pray to him we can ask ourselves, “why would he want me to communicate with him and will he communicate back?” This morning as I prayed I thought of him as my friend – my best friend. Instead of trying to rush through the prayer, I took some time. What a joy to open up, to share what we are trying to overcome in terms of weaknesses and sins, and to feel his gentle spirit help us to become kinder, to see the good in others more, to see our sins, to get impressions on what to do to and to see his wonderful hand. I marvel at how God could care so much for us individually.
We can turn to others to be our best friend, but let me suggest we think of God, or in other words, our Father, as our true best friend.

I tell Abby this so when she is really mad at me I find her praying to tattle on me.
